The Conchiglioni originally come from the Campania region. They belong to the family of the fantasy formats and have the shape of a grooved shell. They can be up to 36 mm wide, 65 mm long and between 1.10 and 1.30 mm thick. Because of their size and shape, they are particularly suitable for filled pasta dishes. Cannelloni are especially used for oven dishes with tasty fish or meat fillings. You can of course also serve them with light and spring sauces, e.g. with mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and basil.
