Penne a Candela are a tasty variant of the classic Penne Lisce particularly widespread in southern Italy. They are characterized by a much greater thickness and diameter (those of the Candele from which they take their name) and, thanks to their size, manage to retain the condiments at their best. The absence of lines is compensated by a surprising softness, which gives the palate a sublime sensation.
