Typical format of Abruzzo peasant gastronomy, the Rombi are a variety of sagne cut in a rhomboid shape very common in mountain areas.

Traditionally this format goes well with fish-based sauces, sauces with hen and duck, widely used in the gastronomy of the Abruzzo countryside or with lamb, typically in the mountain areas.

The Rombi are also suitable for the preparation of legume soups or with meat sauce and tomato sauce.
